Little Smokies work great on perch and my son has also landed a catfish while perch fishing.

Not Hardly....Just takes a few. Cut em up real small for perch. Let them dry little in the sun to toughen them up.

Use bacon instead. Stays on the hook real well and will catch perch and catfish, and oh yeah turtles. But the bacon will stay on. That is what we used as kids at all the local ponds.
