To avoid other tournaments we have decided to hold our OPENS on Lake Welsh.

December 3rd, 10th, 17th, 31st, and January 7th.

Start time will be around 6:30-6:45. Depending on light.Fishing till 2pm.

Entry is $60.00 Per Boat(Team or Individual)

Payback is 100%

Pays 1 place for every 4 entries.

5 Fish limit. (18" minimum)I will measure your fish. If you bring me a short fish your whole catch will not count.

Lifejackets must be worn when outboard is in gear.

All State and Local laws apply.

If it is Foggy which it will be. On Plane running will not be allowed until fog has cleared. Idle ONLY. I will make this decision the morning of the tournament. I will be competeing in this tournament so if you show up right at start time no one will be there to take your money. So PLEASE come a few minutes early. I am working on getting ahold of someone to get the ramp dredged out to make it easier to load and unload. Everyone will stay at the ramp until 5 minutes before start time and then you can go to your spot but no fishing until start time.

Tyler Bass Club will be there on the weekend of 10th and 11th. Looks like I will be fishing on the 11th.

Steve I may try to come and fish on of them and do my prefishing at the same time. I have never been on the lake before. Should be fun

If you can get the ramp dredged to make it safer for our boats that will make a big difference. We would be in.

How many boats you think we have for sure so far Steve, the boat ramp isn't as bad as they been talking i went out there this past weekend and so did alot of other anglers, and I didn't see anyone have a hard time getting their boat in or out, neither did I and I was by myself.

Sounds like bumper boats if you release all the boats at the same time in heavy fog. I'll tie tires to the front & sides to counter and push everyone out of my way: I hope to make a few.

The Ramp is a challange if when you're backing in with a larger boat with full tanks. It is for me anyways.

Took 20.80 to win and 20.05 for second. Some teams found them good.

It was a good time. Thanks to Steven and Aaron for putting out the effort to host these 100% payout tournaments during the off season. If you haven't been out to one yet, you should give it a try. The lake's up 4 or 5 inches from some of the prior posts and we're getting more rain today, so aside from the usual ramp steepness, it should be getting close to normal as far as loading and unloading goes real soon.

Lake has come up enough that loading and unloading should not be an issue this week.

Jess and Brooks won with 4 fish for 12.81. Second was 12.78. It was a tough day yesterday.

Due to low turn outs we are going to CANCEL the rest of December and only have one more on January 7th. Thanks.
