Glen got home much earlier that expected today. He called me and pointed out the fact that the wind was CALM. He wanted to go try it for a couple hours. So just like Dobie Gillis we set sail for a two hour tour. The weather was cloudy, very hazy, temp. was 53 and the lake was like glass. We dropped the first jig at 2:00 p.m. and the action was fast. I know we caught at least 50 fish. We threw some dinks and a lot of 10 - 11 inch fish back. We also caught and released several nice sandies and Glen lost a big Hybrid as well. At about 4:10 p.m. the wind and rain hit. We headed for home with 16 real nice fish at 4:15. It was raining so hard I had to follow the trail of bread crumbs the GPS laid down for us on the way out. Not bad for a two hour tour. I hope it rains for the next week solid. Today they wanted Orange and Black Rocky Tops, and Blue or Purple Plastic. We caught a couple on Zoro and the Tomato Seed, but they really wanted Plastic today.

Actually, the "two hour tour" was Gilligan's Island. Gilligan was played by Bob Denver, who was also on the Dobie Gillis show.

Dead on the money! Blooper, Rich and I are very very OLD! I remember when kids played outside all day long and were safe doing it. When you lost your wallet, someone would call you and make sure you got it back with everything still in it.

Good looking fish. I'm going to have to try that lake one of these days.

Was that Dennis Weaver as Chester.
Did you know that Festus (Ken Curtis) preferred to sing more than act? Heard him a few times and he's pretty good.

You win the cigar. Festus a singer? We'll I be darned Mr Dillion. Oh wait, Festus didn't call him Mr. Dillion. That was Chester who limped but as Dennis Weaver in real life was quite the athlete. Festus called him Mathew if memory serves me.
