i just wanted to say thanks to amadeo. i ran in to him yesterday while fishing. i saw the set up that him and his buddy jeff has so i had to go ask some questions. they were both really helpful, showed me how to use the rigs they had and explained everthing in detail. and im not going to lie.. they got me pretty excited about fishing for carp/buffs.

so thanks again to amadeo and jeff for all the awesome info and i hope to fish with yall in the future!

haha thats basically what i was saying. he was telling me a few good websites and other places to get some gear. and i figure.. if i am going to start carp fishing.. i dont wannt spend a little now to spend more later.. so i might just go ahead and get it all out of the way starting off. thumb

If you have the money to spend then do not go cheap with the gear, if you do and really get into the sport you will be upgrading in no time, this is money wasted, buy good quality gear up front and you will be happy you did

Yep welcome to the Dark Side for sure. Amadeo got me caught up in it too a long while back and I haven't stopped since. I agree though get quality gear right off the bat. I bought a "starter" set at first and upgraded a month later which was a waste of initial money spent. Since I'm usually out with Amadeo I'm sure I'll run into you at some point in time. Good luck with the new addiction and maybe I'll see you around sometime
