Wife and I are headed down to the Port A/ Rockport area this coming up weekend. I know there will be a cold front coming through. What techniques to some of you more seasoned fellow anglers use in cold front conditionn?....OTHER THAN STAYING HOME (not an option..she is demanding that I take her). We are not taking the boat. We will be wading. Any ideas.

If its a decently strong front then it will be tough...fish will fall off the flats and be in channels, fish will rend to be on bottom and sluggish...plastics fished slow with the current....plus those are good actions to catch more flounder.

Ewww, no boat can make it pretty rank.

Bright sky/north winds force me to be in the back lakes, mostly just spending time sight fishing reds, everything else can make for a tough day.

I know......but they say it's gonna get super windy down there.

dang, i may get the stomach flu and skip out on thanksgiving to get down there on thursday

looks like the front will be coming in a little later. Saturday morning should be fishable, i'd go.

Front, no front, I get a chance to go to Port A, I go.

If a North wind, I'd try down to Fish Pass, or perhaps the South Jetty.

When the wind shifted from north to east today it was like they opened the door to the buffet...zero to hero like right now.

Rest of the week should be really good.
