I think you should have written, "How many shrimp are in a quart." The number depends on the size. A quart is 32 ounces, or 4 cups.

Back on the last weekend in October the bait camps closed early in POC. No bait. There they go $14 bucks. Like Bill said, it depends how big they are. It's a volume measure.

was at port a last week port a outfitters was charging $16 a quart for live and was about 60 shrimp

Been awhile and forgot where it was but they literally counted the shrimp out.. first for me like to have seen the look on my face.. OMG Bill

Most aeriators do pretty good its keeping the water from getting to heated that eats up oxygen and not being to small of a container...IMOP. Bill

Dropping a frozen bottle of water in the my bait bucket helps keep shrimp alive longer. I've found that the warmer the water the less time the shrimp will keep.

I've seen guys using these in Florida. It keeps shrimp live for a very long time. Larger shrimp in the outer part of the cage, and smaller sized shrimp in the insert portion of the cage. Pretty neat set-up.
