My friend told me that he was able to register his trailer in maine over the phone and saved on fees and taxes. I didn't think it would be legitimate, so I googled maine trailer registrations and called the first one and I ended up using them no problem. Just something to consider.

Some states make that stuff easy some make it a PITA sounds like Maine has reduced it's legacy cost quite a bit good for them.

Well if ever I move to Maine, that'll be helpful. Thanks!

if you want to keep spending more money to register your trailer in Texas then go ahead, think I'm going to register mine in Maine when it is due again.

Y'all are overlooking that little Texas law that requires that you register your vehicles and trailers in Texas within 30 days. If you have a Texas address and can't show that you reside in Maine then you will be in violation and subject to a citation.
