Does anyone know where the water is spewing out of the pipe INTO Benbrook from wherever (Richland Chambers ?)...Lake is risin' at an even rate daily. There is a good current somewhere.

It's on the east side of the lake just south of the dam and Longhorn Park in the area I think they call Richardson's slough (not sure of the name or spelling)there's a creek that comes in there (Richardson's Creek?). Anyway if you follow the creek up a ways there is a pumping station with the big pipe that empties in to the creek.
My son and I found it a number of years ago by boat. Not sure how you get there by land. We found it because there was water running in the creek but there had not been any rain, so we followed the creek till we found the source of the water.

Oh ya...you park by the pole fence on Old Granbury Rd (corp land) and walk like 6 miles....we used to sand bass fish in there back in the good ole days when there was water in there.......

That's too long of a hike for me, but I think I remember seeing the pole fence you're talking about. It's been a while since I've been over that way. I use to enjoy fishing the creeks around Benbrook back when they had water in them most of the year.

OK, thanks for the information, everyone.................Next question is where , besides the big outlet chute below the dam, does the water get drawn out to the pumps to go to Weatherford or other lakes......?? I see the giant pipes near the spillway cut, but I don't know where they hook to the lake....or the river below the dam?

I can't really help on that one. I don't get over there much anymore, but I did meet a guy out at Lake Worth (maybe 2 years ago) who said he was a welder on a pipe line that was being put in from Eagle Mountain Lake to Benbrook Lake and the last few times I drove down the road below the dam (this was a while back also) there was alot of construction going there and up around Winscot Road. Anyway probably *D.C.M.* or someone else on here would have more info on that.
Good Luck
