Under the toll bridge, its 6 ft of water. 100 yards north of that its 2-3 ft all the way to the mouth of the creek, with a lot of it less than a ft deep. In the creek, there is a 400 yard sandbar, less than a ft deep. They didnt show up last year in numbers due to low water. This year its 2 times lower. There are none under the toll bridge, and a couple under 30, but nothing to catch my attention enough to drop down on one. They are not going to show unless we get massive amounts of rain. There are resident crappie in there, but those are already dwindling. Good Luck.

didnt fish this weekend because I was out hunting, but here are a couple pics from one day last weekend, and my first trip down there. Been 3 times, and caught fish all 3 times. 1 time all the fish were given away, so no pic of those. So here's the proof. rolleyes Carey is right, though. Most of these are resident fish. The keeper to dink ratio is about 25:1 There's still better places to fish.

No where to bank for crappie right now on the banks of Hubbard. Fishin barges are producing some numbers right now. very early AM till about 8 am, right before dark till an hour or two after, then 12 am till they quit again. If ur in a boat, the bridges are always producing and will get better the colder it gets. You really have to work to get a limit of crappie there. Lewisville bridges are producing way better right now.

The big Black crappie are pretty thick when the winds let us fish.

Fished the same places today. Not much happening. Air pressure was falling way to fast. Mike and I saw the shad doing something we have never seen before. Flickering on the surface by the millions like they were being chased, I guess they were eating flies hatching on the surface. We didnt see anything they were eating, but they do eat small stuff..... there were millions of shad from 28ft to the surface. No predetors though...? Wierd.

but, the crappie and shad are showing up on stucture near the mouth of one of my creeks, but no water for them to pass.... just need freakin 6 inches of water..... 4 inches for me to get in there.....

ill try to get to WRC here in a few days and see whats happening.

So even if there is a big rain they will still be in the lakes.. I would rather be comfy and dry on my boat than wet and uncomfy on my toon.. that's all I'm saying.

If there is no land from the lake to the creek they should still go up it. I recently have seen fish swimming upstream in as little at 8inches of water. Too many shad up the creeks right now for them to not try and go up it.

First trip evening, second morning, third afternoon. Catching them at all times. Just have to experiment until you find what they're biting. Watch the pressure and fish according to the charts.
