Going to go fish RC in the morning with a friend. (Mckinneycrappiecatcher) Been tying jigs all week to get ready. Going to hit it pretty early in the a.m. Then taking off to Carey's seminar at BPS @ 2p.m. (Everyone that can make it should be there) After the seminar, we plan on heading back to the creek for a few hours to see what we can jerk out of there. Where is rowlett creek located

Is there water in that creek? Ray Hubbard is 2 ft lower than it was in 2006.

I'll say it again, RC will be worse than last year. White Rock Creek and the Elm Fork Trinity below Lake Lewisville are the best bet this year. WRC looks best within the DFW area. In my opinion.....

RC is the only option tomorrow. If all else fails, I'm taking my bass gear for back up.

I'm pretty sure this is the best advise you are going to get. I walked a creek from Lavon to Hubbard yesterday. There was only one place that had shad, and it is completely blocked off from Hubbard. The rest of the creek is shallow shallow. I saw some sunfish/bream and some very spooky bass. Unless we get rain, and lots of it, those creeks Carey mentioned will be the only ones capable of producing a decent mess of fish locally.

I live on Rowlett creek and cross it numerous times a day in many different locations sir.
It appears to be too low to fish even with the rains, which were scant at best.
Sometimes you just gotta try so please be careful if you do.

WRC is starting to produce a few, emphasis on FEW keepers but it is very early in the game, stay tuned.
