Wow. Nice. Mesquite held true to its name and have the skunk. Did see some trout eaten by Cormorants though. Nice report. What were you using for bait?

It was bad this morning maybe the afternoon crowd will do better. Weather was bad only me and one other. He caught a carp. Judging from all the post it was a tough year all around.

I just got a superduper following the suggestion in this thread. It does not look like the spinner at all. What's the presentations that work the best for this lure?

Thanks,

Jun

Slow steady retrieve works best for me on trout.I just got back from Mike Lewis Park and limited using gold super duper-yesterday I caught limit using silver super duper so it pays to try/have different colors. On both Saturday and Sunday the trout wouldn't hit power bait.Super dupers also work great for sand bass using the same slow steady retrieve.

Thanks ssigler. I only got 2@Ablon this morning on power bait. The water was so murky. I also tried superduper before I saw your message, so I guess either because I retrieved it too fast, or my superduper is too large (1/10 oz).

Two of us fished the McKinney Trout Derby. Both of us limited out using Powerbait. Others were doing well on Pink Power Worms. Today's Pictures.

Late start this morning but was able to make it back to Towne Lake in McKinney for another chance at the Trout. Caught a limit in less than 20"; used Rainbow Glitter Powerbait. Also, posted and updated Summary of Lures and Baits for Trout Fishing in Comunity Lakes on our partner site! Today's Pictures and Links.

I went to bear creek in keller today caught my 5 fish limit in about 2 hours. The fish in there are small though. i released the first 2 I caught today, then realized that was the average size. Did catch one that was about 11" the rest are about 9"

Bite is still on at Towne Lake. Caught a limit of five in less than 30 minutes using... guess what, Rainbow Glitter Powerbait! ...seasoned the fish and cooked them over coals on an iron skillet... tasty meal! Today's Pictures.

Made it to Towne Lake just as it was getting dark. Caught two Trout in short order, then the bite stopped right at dark. Held out for about a half-hour, then managed to catch three more at a much slower rate. Today's Pictures.

I should have headed to McKinney. Denton was slow with one tiny trout in 2 hours. I didn't see another trout caught while I was there despite the warm weather.
