Yeah tell me about it. Actually went out in it a couple of weeks back and fear for my life a little. But I sore lipped some crappie so it was a good day.

Time to walk the creeks where the crappie are heading, and wind will become a nasty rumor and not much more. plus the scenery is well worth the exercise, considering the extremely colorful(for north texas) fall foliage show mother nature is putting on this yr

you killed em didn't ya? I HATE YOU!(for the moment, until i get a jig and bobber out there)! All i am catching in my creek still is one bass after another with a bluegill here and there! Darn it!

Side bonus to walking most creeks around here-- there is a GOOD pecan crop this yr. come home with pockets full of those tasty boogers!

Man I would do a little walkin too,but Ray Bob ain't that a way,you gotta get on the main body of water to snagem up here.I've tried that creek jump'n and caught two or three little ones and rubbed a couple of dozen stumps getting in and outta there.

there's a creek or two up there that are "walkable" and have some good crappie in 'em, you gotta just get out and scout.

The bigguns are out in deep water,the shad just don't run up the creeks like in other lakes.Don't know why,but that might be why most up here are skinny in the 10-13" range.
