banana

I went this morning to the Greenbelt and another spot I love to go. I brought my co-worker and brother. The first SL I caught 2 crappie... only one keeper, barely. My brother caught a small one and about a 12incher. My co-worker caught a couple dinks and 3 keepers one of wich was about 13+inch.

We ran out of minnows so decided to take the time to go hit a new hole. Im just glad we did that good, I was not sure how we would do. I am hopeful of this winter... I have been saving up my "fishing" time from this summer for the winter crappie run!!!

When we got to the other spot, on the south side of 380 bridge at the greenbelt corridor. Parked where its free and walked down. I decided to throw a spinner before getting the minnows wet again and picked up this big girl!

Another pic.

Ah man was thinking about going to that very same place would have been neat to have hooked up with you.
I think I may hit it in the morning and I will report back
I have never gone to the south side of 380 may try that. How are the snakes? Last spring I ran into a lot of them.

I didnt see any snakes. When we got there, we fished under the bridge. After my catch we didnt do any good there so we moved a little up/down river...towards LL. I wouldnt recommend going that way, just because it gets shallow and stays shallow. We went down maybe 2-3 hundred yards. Maybe try the other direction??? I don't know the area very well.

I have been looking at google and want to see if I can't find some good access to the north of 380. Ive found a couple entrances online... just need to see if it is a good place or not.

The best access to north of 380 is by parking at the greenbelt, and getting on a bicycle and heading up the bike path.

Or go to the forks

Or go to the parking area at Sherman drive and walk south.

You could also go by Mingo rd and walk the tracks, but that's a long walk and I got my truck broke into the last time I was in that area.
