Yep!! My personal favorite

I have used Big Game for years and like it very well. For the most part all I use are baitcasters and it works very well. All the fish in my signature and thousands of others have been caught on it. I very recently switched over to the high vis line. I like the high vis line for catfishing much better though. And like DCM said, it just looks cooler.

Thanks Chuck. I need to respool my reels, and I can't afford a big bad spool of Ande, and Academy is a lot closer to me than BPS. If they have those on clearance, I say why not?

I've used 20 for a long time, but I've never gotten in to a fish over 12 lbs, so it seems dependent on where you fish as to what line you'll need.

I hear you, guess I ought to buy both then, since they are on sale.

Well, I rushed over to the Plano Academy on 75 at Springcreek...and like usual as of late....they had nothing. That store used to have some killer clearance sales. In fact they used to give another 50% off if it ended in .88. Not so anymore. They had a few things on clearance of course. But no big screaming deals. The only line I even saw in the big spools was Their H2O (anybody tried it yet) which was pretty good price of 11.99 and one other brand, a few rolls of it. They've re-done their store a bit and in doing so have DECREASED their fishing tackle inventory. I mean that's how it appears since they now have fewer aisles dedicated to it. Man I wish they'd build one here in Wylie. I'm truly unhappy with the Plano store. Love the company in general and shop their often.

Oh.... they did have one killer deal. They actually had some kind of jig or such marked down from .89.......to .88.

I got a couple optix 60's a while back and they spooled them both with the H2O line for free. Held memory within a week and started breaking within a couple weeks. Free or not I'll never put any of it on my reels ever again. I've changed everything over to Suffix or the Cabela's Saltstriker line. Both are low memory and very thin.

Which Suffix do you use Deerstrangler? They make a lot of lines. I take it both you mention are tough enough for the type of fishing we talk about in this forum?

Dave-not sure how convenient to you but I just left the mesquite store and the have quite a good number of boxes left-or if you are
coming to the twak tourney I have an extra box of 30 lb.

The Suffix I use is the Elite in the Hi-vis yellow. I use the 20lb in it.

The Saltstriker line is also Hi-vis yellow but it's 30lb.

It's taken care of me all year long with no complaints.

Just an fyi. The academy at 377 and north tarrant still has some 20,30 and 40lb for 4.88. The only green they had was in 40lb.

Just an fyi you can still get this deal on academy.com they have the green in all the sizes for 4.88 per 1lb spool. you have to pay shipping, but its still way cheaper, especially if you order several spools.
