No -not a 40 lb'r but one of them $3.99 Pink /Black Spincast Combos  and found some Big Game on clearance......$22 spools for $4.88- 1760 yds of 30 lb......no high viz green only clear and dark green ...I went with Dark Green......

Is that Big Game line worth a hoot in a baitcaster? I have used Big Game for years and like it very well. For the most part all I use are baitcasters and it works very well. All the fish in my signature and thousands of others have been caught on it. I very recently switched over to the high vis line. I like the high vis line for catfishing much better though. And like DCM said, it just looks cooler.

Thanks Chuck. I need to respool my reels, and I can't afford a big bad spool of Ande, and Academy is a lot closer to me than BPS. If they have those on clearance, I say why not?

I've used 20 for a long time, but I've never gotten in to a fish over 12 lbs, so it seems dependent on where you fish as to what line you'll need.

Burleson no longer has 30 lb and only 2 20 lb.......they have 8 or more in 10-12-15-40 lb
