Its crazy I tell you! My 1st Allstar rod cost a bit over $100 in 1992. The joke was making monthly payments on a fishing pole back then. Of course they were the finest rods on the market in my opinion. That IM-6 graphite was cutting edge LOL. Sadly that rod is sleeping with the fishes on lake Leon in 14' of water, after days of dragging that area I finally had to let her go. Funny I can still see it falling in.

Get the ones that say Houston, Texas. Those were made in the USA. I picked up 2 more just for the sake of it and may get 2 more on top of that.

I like Castaway better but I ordered that 7'10 H one to see how it works out as a cat rod.

Ahhh ok. I just went by the Academy off Bryant Irving and picked me up the 7'6" heavy. Also picked up a Quantum Burst on clearance for 39.99. Walked out of there with a 200 dollar full retail combo for 80 bucks! Can't beat that!

No im sorry i didnt notice. I did buy a small spool of Berkley Sensation line though that rang up 1.88 the tag said 4.88
