Been thinking about trying to do some wading type
flounder giging.
Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks, Lamar

Can't gig in november... you can catch 2 with rod in reel. This amendment to the regs came last year to help get the big spawners out the passes to recriut more flounder into the bays after they spawned.

The fishing is great right now though.. head to a pass or jettie area where the water is emptying the bays... use a gllup on a jig head with 1/4oz. head or maybe alittle bigger if the current is really ripping... I like the black curl tail.. but just about any of them are great. Throw up current and work it back. Flounder like to be on the edge of the drop off into what ever channel you are fishing.. shore side of the edge... they also like to sit facing the current and just off the edge of the strongest current. or wear current and slack edge meet.

good luck

Excellent info. From what I heard, that 2 fish limit is stupid easy to catch these few days.

Just make sure the fish is of legal size AND a flounder...not a stingray.

Cool, have fun. There's always a few around. Just not as many as during the warmer monthes; they mostly migrate to the gulf this time of year. But if you wade the edges of guts close to the pass then there is at least a chance to experience it.
