I have some Big Marv's, Lewis king and some Dead Red that has been sitting in my garage for over a year and a half and was wondering if I should toss it or will it be a gooey gross cat killer? All my gear got stolen and I have finally decided to get new gear and get back to my old favorite thing to do, any recommendation on any new stuff will be a great help too, thanks in advance.

i personally love cjs punch bait, i particularly favor the crawfish blend in rocky and flowing areas, use one rod tho until you find out the bite, i've had rods taken due to lack of attention and an amazing bite i caught mostly 15-18inch eaters on it but have caught some bruisers on it as well...all i gotta say is a little goes a long way if i wanted i could get a gallon tub and go out every day of the month and have limits and have enough left for another month

A courteous gentleman gave me an old container of danny kings punch bait yesterday and told me chopping up an onion and mixing it in can help "freshen" it up.

A courteous gentleman gave me an old container of danny kings punch bait yesterday and told me chopping up an onion and mixing it in can help "freshen" it up. onions absorbs ingredients, like if you put an onion in salty water the onion draws up the salt, so u have to add more seasoning to get it right in my opinion

So far just 2 Penn combos, Fierce 6000 with 8' rod and Pursuit 7000 with 10' rod. I've been a Penn guy my whole life and I know there are better deals on better equipment but I feel confident in these 2 combos for what I plan to fish for. Also looking at an Ocuma Sentara combo at dicks but not possitive but definitely in search of 2 more set ups. he Abu Vendetta and Carrot stix rods did catch my eye for a lighter setup for fihsing dip/punch bait, but not sure what reels would go good with them, thought mabey a Phfluger President?? Going today to a local flea market to see if I find some good deals then heading to Academy later, oh also got some breathable Magellen waders and boots from Academy.

Don't waste your money on Carrot Stix. I've snapped 7 of them in the past few years. Quite a few guys on here are using Penn 950's or Salt Striker 80's on 10' Pro Angler rods. There's a PAT dealer in San Antonio.

Added a Pfluger Trion GX-7 combo from Academy that was on clearance for $35, Spiderwire Tackle bag and a whole bunch of goodie to fill it. Really want a Vandetta Abu rod with an Orra S spinning to toss around, but may have to wait for X-mas.
