I removed a few screws on the passenger console and it dropped in to my lap....Ranger had used some glue to hold it in place, but I guess it had dried and loosened up....now I just have to clean up the glue and tie some wires and I have a "convertible"!!

You should be able to find a plastic hole plug for that hole.

Looks like it should be pretty good once you've cleaned it up. I like single consoles too. So goes my daughter and she's the one who would usually be sitting on that side.

I did the same to a 99 518 I had. The epoxy held very well on mine so I pulled a little bit of the glass away with it. I used the black cover that went over the screws in the front and made a panel for the side out of a piece of fiberglass that I covered in a piece of marine grade vinyl. Was very happy with it.

Actuall, the light on the side of the console will fit into the hole....that will still give me some additional light for the cockpit area....
