Went today and walked back further than normal, found a tree that looked promising. Pulled thirty out with only 1 keeper, but sure was fun.......can literally walked across the creek under old alton bridge..........we need some rain!!!had a blast!!!

Id like to know just an idea as to how far back you went I found a place that has a tree down and going out into the water last spring that you could walk out on and it was a good place to fish to.
And did you park in the old alton bridge parking lot?

They are in there for sure. Just going to take some work to find them. They aren't in the same places as last year with the water so low.

I know exactly where that tree is. Lol. Good spot. Deepest part of the creek there. Just under fifty yards up it's 14 ft deep. If a brushpile made it's way into that spot, would be nice. Just sayin.

I figured that someone would see that tree and say I know that one LOL
Well lets hope some fish get into that place I sure like it.

ohh i know that tree, snagged my net from a boat around that tree in the summer time, musta been a brush pile but im thinking a old trot line is set there. when you used to be able to drive on the other side of the creek its good over there. they put a big gate there now.

I am thinking that it may be time to check on the tree in the morning have not been down and it has been raining some wonder if anyone has looked to see if the water is up any and well if you are catching any fish.

Ok I am done with this place NEED RAIN...
When I got to the parking lot I found this.

After not catching any fish I got back to the truck and all of the trash was gone that was nice to see.

I am done fishing this place no water or fish Back to the lakes
not that I have done any better at them LOL

I went out there today from 11am to about 1pm....
Black F150.... i didn't do any good at all... deepest pockets i could find was about 5 feet deep... guess i didn't walk back for enough.... say to big asss deers walk up on me about 50 yards from me... i move a inch and they shot off... that was a sign time for me to leave...

The water was very low by the old bridge... some pockets about 5ft but most of the water about 2 to 3 feet and under the bridge was pretty dry... yes afraid of bambi.. didn't know deers was actually small horses LOL...
