Over the past couple of years I have been doing a fair amount of spider rigging, but I guess I've gotten to that point in my life where I need a little help seeing the ends of the long poles better. I was wondering if any of you could suggest a type of paint that could be used on the last few inches of a pole and not chip or flake off and have to be constantly repainted? Thanks for any help.
Use white out it is water based in most casea you can put a floresent Red model paint over it Floresent nail polish, The reason to use White out as a base if and when you take your rod back because youu broke the tip you can clean it up pretty good for the return trip to Customer Service.

Nice tip!

I've painted a couple of my crappie rod tips. I used bright yellow Krylon. I used a small section of a Scotchbrite pad to remove the shine from the rod and then simply tape off the section between the tip and the first eye, then I painted the approximate 4" section. It works great. I've done two rods this way. In the end after all the work I don't really think it helped much. I thought it would help me see the end of the rods against the water which it did. But I did'nt feel that I catch more fish with the modified rods vs. the non modified ones.
