i sure hope the smaller fish on the stringer were sandbass cause if a warden were to check and they werent sandies they'd give you a 250.00 fine for each, but i just learned the way to tell the difference is by feeling the tongue hybrids have 2 patched of teeth, not saying you dont know the difference but i've had hybrids fool me before thinking it was a large sandy.

Come on, BD, we've been doing this a while...... for the record, even that method is not 100%, especially on juvenile 'brids.

it's actually the retention (flood control) pond off 121b, right @ the trinity river bridge. easy to cross the river now that there's nothing but snakes & dead bodies in it........

Help, where is this spot? someone PM me with location. I drive 121b every day and not sure where exactly we're talking about but would love to hit it after work one day this week. . it's easy. eastbound 121b, past the last light (valley ridge?), just before you cross the river, pull over & walk across the river. you can see the pond from the road. No taco place. If you get to the Caterpillar place you went too far. best lure is rattle traps & tailspinners. good luck & post a report!!!

Hello fellas!, so fishing this run off on 121, you need to be there when the dam is open right? In order to pull these fish out, of course right?
So how do i know when the water is running if i live far?
