Just twisted off and traded in my 2007 Classic D Max and got a 2012 2500 HD D Max. Anyone else driving a new '12? Took my rig to dealer in Odessa yesterday for the Bugs Annual. Got 12mpg running 70 against 10-20 mph wind. Averaged 21 coming back empty.
I had an 08 Duramax z-71 and it never got good fuel mileage up to when I sold it with 70k on it. I went so far as to have the DPF removed, etc. I wish I had never traded in my 06 LBZ, as it was the best I have ever owned. The new trucks are much quieter and ride better, no doubt. Hope it serves you well !

Nice truck! My friend has a Duramax and I drive a Dodge. Whether empty or pulling I always get 5 mpg better than him. He has about 55k miles on his and gets close to the mileage you're getting. Joe
