Decided to try to locate some blues on Belton today. After getting a lot of pointers on here from you guys, I thought I should be able to do this. Found some shad and some of those big arches and anchored up. After 30 minutes a 3 nibbles decided to move. Saw a lot more arches when I got the anchors in so we drifted. Got plenty of bites but no hookups. Left that spot and went scouting. No shad, no arches at any of the other likely spots. Came back to first place and moved a little south out of the wind and saw more arches. Tied up to a handy tree and put the cut perch out. 10 minutes later I hear OOOOOOOOHHH I got one. Looked back and saw the rod doubled over to the water. After a good 6-7 minute fight, I netted this one for her; 22.28lbs.

After several more bites and me catching a 1.1lber, we headed in. I got to hear "well at least one of us caught one we can take a picture of." And as I'm washing the cleaning table off she walks up and says " you cleaned yours yet; oh I thought that was a piece that fell off mine."
