Sometime, probably before Christmas, I'm going to spend a couple of days on LBJ. I'll be staying at Valentine resort. It is on the river branch. Part of the fishing pier is enclosed and out of the weather. It is in 8' of water with brush under it to attract crappie. It is also possible to fish the open water. According to the owner the area is basicaly a flat, with little structure. I'm thinking about using some soured grain and fishing vertically near under the pier, and casting some bait out on the flat. What are your suggestions? thanks, capt david
