Going out this Saturday, any tips? I've fished this lake before but never had much luck with catching Hybrids.

Report for 11-12-11

Water temp: 67 in the morning, 71 in the afternoon.
Location: Discharge
Baits: Chicken liver, shrimp, shad
Lures: 4 inch chartruse sassy shad 1 ounce jig head, 1/2 ounce blue/yellow chrome red eye rattle trap, holographic 1 ounce slab.
Hours spent fishing: 5
Pics: pending

Cuaght multiple (well over 40) undersize reds ranging from 17 to 19.5 inches. No keepers. They were hitting the lures and shad the most. Cuaght 14 catfish ranging from 16 to 24 inches, liver was the ticket. Cuaght 1 hybrid on the sassy shad. Cuaght a turtle on liver. Cuaght an anchor on shrimp.
The fish seem to move in and out of as schools with dead periods lasting about 30-45 minutes, then the action would pick up.

Good luck out there!
