The wind forecast I looked at showed a Northwest wind and 8 to 10mph. It lied! More like 10 to 15 with 20 gusts. All I fished was the bridge by Pecan Creek ramp. Turns out an issue I thought I'd fixed on my boat, wasn't. So I wouldn't have been able to go to any brush piles. I didn't do good, might as well have been skunked. One keeper just over 10", a few dinks, and the highlight of the day was a nice 13.5" Sandy. Sandies sure do put up a good fight. There is a bit of good news, I discovered RR is only about 30 miles from my house, so I guess I will be hitting it more often. When I get my motor running right. I wasn't able to fish the columns like I do Fork, due to the wind direction, so my depth measuring may be a little off, but I guess the few fish I caught were around 16 to 18 feet deep. A chartreuse Lake Fork baby shad caught a couple dinks, and a cinnamon/blue Slab Daddy caught my only keeper Crappie as well as the sandy. I didn't feel like cleaning two fish, so I released both.

Don't let my failure keep you from going, the wind may be a bust though.

There was an upside to the day, for whatever reason, I decided to try to fish the mostly exposed timber just North of of the bridge. I felt like I was in a giant pinball machine, but I noticed on my vintage 1986 Lowrance that the giant PAC-MAN sized pixels on my graph kind of resembled trees. So, when I get my motor running right I may be able to find some brush piles.

That's funny! I bet it's true though.

I was out there yesterday too. It was rolling pretty good out there. Wasn't anything like last Saturday though.

I fish that bridge more than any placr on RR. Although I do ok with jigs on brush and timber, minnows have always been the ticket for me under the 3002 bridge.
