The wind forecast I looked at showed a Northwest wind and 8 to 10mph. It lied! More like 10 to 15 with 20 gusts. All I fished was the bridge by Pecan Creek ramp. Turns out an issue I thought I'd fixed on my boat, wasn't. So I wouldn't have been able to go to any brush piles. I didn't do good, might as well have been skunked. One keeper just over 10", a few dinks, and the highlight of the day was a nice 13.5" Sandy. Sandies sure do put up a good fight. There is a bit of good news, I discovered RR is only about 30 miles from my house, so I guess I will be hitting it more often. When I get my motor running right. I wasn't able to fish the columns like I do Fork, due to the wind direction, so my depth measuring may be a little off, but I guess the few fish I caught were around 16 to 18 feet deep. A chartreuse Lake Fork baby shad caught a couple dinks, and a cinnamon/blue Slab Daddy caught my only keeper Crappie as well as the sandy. I didn't feel like cleaning two fish, so I released both.
