Putting together a wish list for my relatives to do some shopping. Wondering what you guys like to use on ultra light setups. Braid, mono, flouro? Brands?

Suffix - Bright Orange. Although I saw some new
neon green the other day in the store. It would work too.
I use 20# on my verticles and 10# on my pitchin' rod.
cheers

I got 10# Vicious hi-viz yellow on every thing, including my bass reels... good stuff. I'd go 8# on a spinning reel...

Hi-vis doesn't effect the fish...imo...I've fished it for a couple of years but I talked to a guy at Cabela's tonight that said 12# braid is the way to go b/c it's the same diameter as 6#mono with twice the strength for all those times when you get hung up. I might give this a shot once I run out of the hi-vis.

I think it's just an excuse for some to say the fish were
"LIne Shy". If you can catch them on a brazing rod they sure
aren't going to be scared of a little braid.

It effects whether or not you SEE some bites. I've fished Cajun Red, Vicious Yellow and am now using Suffix Siege in Neon Tangerine and the crappie don't seem frightened, maybe a little angry realmad but not frightened.
