Have any one tried to catch crappie with worm?
Any technique to jig or a way to tie the worm in fishing for crappie?
Thanks.

I've caught them on a small "plastic" worm on a jig head.
It's like a mini shakey head worm. Just worm it on the hook, keeping it as straight as you can. Drop it down to your spot and shake it very lightly.

When I was ice fishing up North we slayed crappie on jig heads and Meal worms. Was thinking of adding a meal worms to my tube jigs this winter on Lewisville. If I can find Meal worms down here.

I found out something last year that was pretty interesting. A friend of mine took his daughter down to Dalrock Marina on Lake Ray Hubbard to catch some bream. I can't remember the exact month but I remember it was cold still and during crappie season cuz he said it was full of crappie fisherman. Anyway, he bought some wax worms to bream fish with, and instead of catching bream, they caught 7 huge crappie in under an hour. All on the wax worms. He said it was funny becuase they didn't catch any bream, and nobody around them crappie fishing with jigs and minnows caught any crappie! Just thought I'd share that.

So, it looks like some of you have had good luck with:
1. "plastic" worm
2. meal worms
3. wax worms
4. _____ ??? What do you think of using nightcrawlers?

Also, which season is appropriate to use these worms as bait for crappie?

You can but the plastic works almost as well is cleaner and tends to stay on the hook ready to go again. Bait + more time in water = more bites Just sayin
