have tried to look threw old posts and google it but the places i have found i called and the numbers where no good so i assume they are out of business any help will be greatly appreciated.

Dallas is huge. what part of town are you in, or fishing near. That info will help alot.....

white rock creek, bachman lake is where i will be fishing and i live on the west side of dallas next to down town. thanks that info probly would help.

There is a convenient store by the dam of white rock lake. I don't remember the street name but that place sells minnows by the dozen.

It's cheaper and u get better minnows if u go to fishermans supply off zion and 30..

Thanks for the nice comment Atta. The store your refering to by the Dam of White Rock was closed down this summer. The Texas State comp troller actually called us and gave us all the bait they had left so it would not ruin. We looked into buying the store, but the owner is wanting an enormous amount of rent, and a lot of the sales were dependent on beer sales. That used to be on the wet/dry line, but now that all of Dallas went wet there is no need for people to come to that side of the lake for beer. We think thats why they got into tax trouble and were shut down. It had been there for a long time. All the customers that went there are comming to our store now. I don't know of another one that is close by.

Well, didn't know that it was shut down but hey, better minnows, better price.. go to fishernans supply!!!

I`m a witness. I wen`t there a week ago looking and I was dissapointed also to find they were closed.It was called the bait wheel or something like that.They had been there selling minnows and tackle for a loooooooong time but Fishermans supply is the Joint.

Not to reduce traffic to fishermans supply but there is a texaco station at the intersection of miller and centerville that sells them by the dozen. It's not much closer for you but it's there...

thanks guys i have always used fishermans supply for many years when i am fishing lavon or hubbard just checking to see if there was anything closer. i will being seeing them soon to pick up a bunch and put them in my fish tank so i dont have to drive as much thanks again guys.

Smart move!!! I tried that with my left overs from 2 weeks ago.. worked out ok for about a week, then I found some floaters with no eyes. Guess the 4 small sharks got hungry. Lol

thats funny i had a few perch in it but took them to lavon and caught some cats and biggest drum i ever seen 15lbs but i think they will last a while unless the crappie are bitting

Yeah they last a while. Drop a few cheerios in there for food. They will be ok.
