I will be going down to a friends place camping this weekend, the land is right on the Brazos north of waco, what is the best gear to take, not too used to river fishing but if I am there I might as well. I have gear for whatever species but dont want to take everything. What is the best to catch, i.e. cats, bass, sandies, crappie, etc. Thanks.

Just load the wagon. Don't worry about the mule.

take a 7' medium action combo.....covers all of it.......

Take your cat gear and an ultralight. Catch some perch, cut em up and catch you some big ole river cats. Throw some punch bait out too.
