Do any of you guys remove the anti reverse pawl on the Curado e series…..does it make a difference. Also I use braid 10 lb on most of my set ups if that matters?

I usually remove it on mine. I've not found it to make much a difference either way though.

Remove it. If you take care of your reel and service it frequently there is no need for it in the reel

I removed all of mine. The JDM equivalent Scorpion 1500XT doesn't have one. I think it is put on there because of them American anglers who sometimes use heavy braid on these reels. It will noticeably free up the retrieve.

I take it out as soon and I buy the reels. They make a clicking noise after time because the pawl hops up and down. Stupid design fix

I cannot get over folks that reverse engineer reels.

That AR Pawl serves a purpose and will actually save component wear on other parts in that reel.

A properly serviced reel will see years and years of wear with no problem on that pawl. Even Garcia has used that system for years without the use of a One way roller bearing/
