I figured this would be a fun post, but what do you think are handy things to have in a boat while catfishing?
Cutting board
Casting net
extra pair of clothess in ziplock bag
towel
hand whipping towel
bucket
rain coat
knife
rope
flash light
ductape

+ a big dip-net,

You don't need any extra clothes if you wear some H20 express Bibs and if you have the jacket in the boat you don't have to have a rain suit, they keep you clean, and dry, and the wind off you!!!

Hooks. I keep a small pair of scissors to cut line but the cutters on a pair of needle nose works too. I always keep electrical tape too. Never know when something decides to break.

If you catch big fish, don't waste your money on cabelas grips. Larry went thru 3 or 4 pair last season

I love watching them get that kick out of a fish-on!

I bought 5 pairs from Team Catfish last winter. Other than when we have to use more than 1 pair at a time, i've only needed 1 pair. They are holding up great so far.

Our grips are different for a reason.......We understand catfish anglers needs....

We have all our grips made out of a more flexible plastic. We too had the original material that all the other colors are made out of, but catfish anglers were breaking the lower jaw on big blues. The factory listened to my suggestions and in 2009 Team Catfish built the HD floating fish grip out for the new yellow material. They are a little higher priced than the other colors but the yellow grip is the only one that will hold up to lots of big cats day after day. grin

I do have sun screen. But it drives me crazy trying to get the scent off my hands. I always spray dead red or Crush shad in my hands tthen depose of it. Then cut bait.

Believe me, they are not the same as the Cabellas brand, I went through 4 pair of the orange ones last year, and Tom still has the same pair of Team Catfish grips I think from year before last, we have had several fish over 50 lbs and a couple over 60 and they are still good!!!

No matter how much price difference, you need some of these!!!

They work great for cleaning shad scales, blood, etc off your hands before eating...plus I always have them around the house.

some of them jokes is pretty mean spirited sometimes. He's a good sport though. I assume they know each other pretty well too.

I carry latex gloves to put sunscreen on with and then take them off and no scent on your hands.

Kevin's got a thick skin for sure. He's a good sport and doesn't throw tantrums like BDDD. Well there was this one time he told the whole world to pack sand but ordinarily he's a good sport lol.

good thing you mentioned this. until i heard of this if I was on a boat with a dude and he goes to throwing on doctors gloves I might just be inclined to go for a swim... even still.. i do believe i'd keep a weather eye on him.

In those cold winter months when those bigguns are down deep, don't forget to take you a 1/4 inch pvc pipe about 2 feet long to burp your fish with before throwing them back.
