Anyone ever sit in one of these? Im going to buy one and just wondered what people though of them.

I've used the GTS Elite for the past 4.5 years with no complaint. The high back is very supportive, and it allows you to adjust a little for lumbar.

I have that seat without the pack on the back. Its much better than the stock seat but my butt is still sore after fishing 12 hours.

Here is the difference.

12 hours in a lazy boy would make you sore! That's a long shift!

My Hobie seat is comfy, however cbl600r is correct. After a 12 hr day sitting in kayak it is funny to see us old men getting out at the boat ramp. LOL!!

well you cant sit for 12 hours straight. I always take breaks and get out to stretch or take a swim.

I just sent the money. I bought it off the other forum for $150 shipped. The guy said he only used it a few times and has a Pro Angler so no longer needs it. Its normally $228 everywhere else. Im looking forward to having that seat! That picture comparison looks like a huge difference. Thanks for posting the pic Robbie.

I've gone through a lot of kayak seats and the S2S GTS HB seat is one of them. That thick, stiff seat takes A LOT of saddle time to break in and it did not fit my med/lrg butt. I sold it within a month of use.
Without a doubt, the high back seat is the way to go for comfort and I found one that is perfect (for me). The Skwoosh Voyager at $100 WITH a back pack and thin gel seat is a great deal and is very comfy.

You guys are right about fishing for that long of time. If you could see Shaun, gutcheck and I get out of our yaks you would think we were 80yrs old. On the lsat couple of trips I have gotten out to stretch my legs or just lay back on the yak.

I sure did like that seat that the pro Angler had .

I have the Skwoosh Pro Angler that I picked up from ACK with the TKF discount. I like it a lot as well. I never use the back pack, but I use the rod holder all the time. I think Skwoosh makes a good seat.

Just tested it out this morning for a hour on the pond. WOW! Super comfy. The best kayak seat I have ever sat in. I dont think you can make a better seat. its a night and day difference from the seat that came wit the kayak. Its even better than my seat on my redfish 12.

Not only is it comfy but it also keeps my butt above the bottom of the kayak and leaves two channels for draining water. This will help keep my butt even drier than it already is. And Im sure the rod holders and bag will come in handy too.

Dave: If you don't mind me asking . . . how heavy and how tall are you?
