No, Alan, that's not it.

It's here: 29.701436,-95.559597

Just drop these lat/long values into the Google Maps search line.

I have asked question about fishing this spot a while ago with no solid answers. Let me know if you catch anything there.

Im sure there's fish there.
It connects to Brays bayou, which Ive already confirmed has fish. However, Im not sure what species would be at the lake/pond. Ive seen gars and carp in the bayou's northern sections and seen schools of what looked to be whiting on the southern end just before it drains into the Houston ship channel.

Ive been there a few times to scout around but never seen anyone fish it.

Yup, that area is between Sharpstown and Alief. Both are areas I dont want to be in if I don't have to.

But trouble makers stay out of the park and cops are there in the parking lots.

I've heard it has good numbers but i've never fished it myself. When i drove by i thought it looked perfect for a float set up and just walk around the whole lake.

If fished it several times and never felt in danger.
I caught 4 carp 6 - 8 pounds in 6 hours with no prebaiting, but I did bait to a marker. It took a couple of hours for it to get going. I also lost 3 others...
In the early morning (the park has dawn to dusk hours) there were carp near in, but very skittish.

The water level stays fairly level due to the Bayou feeding it. The bayou is filled with tilapia, armored catfish, and grass carp.

This is definitely a possibility for a fish in; just can't expect much size. I've heard there are some teens, though.

Bingo. They reproduce like crazy, and burrow into the banks to lay their eggs.
