going to port a for thanksgiving week, will be staying at channel view condos, is it any good, is there any good bait fish in the boat slip there, I have an umbrella net, will mainly be fishing the piers and rocks, any advice will be helpfull

you should be fine fishin their piers, live shrimp ok. should be avail at woodys or offsore out fitters. if they have lights, just put the shrimp on the bottom and wait...red or black drum.

You can catch all the gafftop catfish you want there on squid or any kind of cut bait and shrimp.

If you don't get into fish there, give Charlie's Pasture or the jetty a try. Both are within 2 miles of your pier and I think they are both better fishing during daylight.
