Were you aiming at the shoulder and shaking with deer fever? i hit where i was aiming. ted, usarmytdi has it right, that is the alexander arms .50 beowulf. its a .50 cal upper reciever on an AR15 platform lower. i had a freind telling me about it but i didnt beleive it. i was wrong. i thought he meant .50 BMG though, totally different! but still thats one helluva rifle! http://alexanderarms.com/

Yea its a bad ma ma jama! Its only good for about 300 yards, but its going to destroy any thing with in that range. We use it in mill. Applications for cqc. One mag holds 20rounds, but if you empty a mag, you have just put one lb of lead down range. It will disable vehicles and the driver, through the windshield with out much deflection. Best part, it not against geneva conventions to use I against personel. I've got some stick time with it. What's even more fun it an AA12! Perfict for bird hunting. Fully auto shot gun with no barrel rise and no kick. and requires no lubrication, with a 30 shell clip. And the HE round for it is basicly a fin stablised mini gernade that is pin point accurate out to 154yard. Making it the worlds most accurate shot gun

got any links with more info on all those other goodies/capabilities? to be quite honest, i have no reason what-so-ever to own one of these things, but somehow i see it in my arsenal? when you consider what it is (cool factor), the price tag is not that bad, ive put more into my kayak so far.

I spent 10 years in the army myself, although I never had the priviledge to shoot any .50 other than the good ole M2, which for me, is BA!
Other weapons I have shot ( I was 11M and 11B afterall) M60 (7.62mm) M249 (5.56mm) M16 (5.56mm) M2 (Ma duece) My favorite by far (.50 cal machine gun) M4 (5.56mm) M203 40mm grenade launcher (single shot under an M16 or M4) M79 40mm grenade launcher single shot break open MK19 40mm grenade launcher machine gun M240C 7.62 mm for Bradley M240B 7.62 mm for dismounted soldier M9 9mm Beretta Main cannon on an M1 Abrams (I was tasked to an armor battalion for a gunnery) 120mm shpt a target 1 mile away (1600 meters) M2 bradley (25mm Bushmaster chain gun) I was a Bradley gunner AT4 Anti tank rocket, 84mm solid fuel tank buster TOW Missle (wire guided missle, rendered obsolete by the time i got out by the javelin) M14 sniper rifle 7.62mm or .308 cal M24 sniper system same as above
I had a lot of fun shooting sh..tuff in the army!
I cant remember all of them. I think that is it.

I've always been a big fan of A Christmas Story, as has been my whole family. When I turned 21, my Mom jokingly got me a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas- She figured I could handle it then.
That afternoon we went up to my Grandparents' lake house and I went exploring around shooting at different things. After a while, I took aim at a fence post and came within 4" of shooting my eye out when it ricocheted back at me. Life almost imitated Art. lol
I've fired: Red Ryder, carbine action, 200 shot range model air rifle DY880 Multi - Pump Single Shot Pellet Gun Crosman C21 Crosman Corporation Quest .22 Break Barrel Carbine

Chad thats freaking hillarious! ted and tdi, im damn jealos!!! brian, i also keep a pellet gun on my fridge for the random varmints that decide to wander too close. i had a couple of mice in the garage on sunday (in my carp bait), went for the pellet gun and realized i was missing a seal so it just dumped all the co2 instantly. ended up smashing one with a peice of lumber and the other got away. i havent shot very many guns. .45 colt 1911 .45 taurus revolver some other revolver? "the judge" a few different ar15's .223/5.56 the beowulf .50 a assortment of .22's- -s&w m&p15/22 -ruger 10/22 -some weird czek rifle -remington r-22 jennings .22 pistol a few remington 700's in various calibers- 25/06 .243 .270 may be a while before i get behind a barret .50BMG!

if you ever get the chance to shoot a 45/70, that is a fun rifle!! A lot of power with surprisingly little recoil. It can do some damage down range though!

That like the M107. Yes it shoots a 50 and is good for 1.5 miles. Buts recoil is doable. You could put 100 rounds down range and be ok. Lugging it around is different though. Its heavy. What I find amazing is the AA12. I'm not a shotgun guy at all. But the fact that what recoil it has is used to counter act barrel rise to keep you on target is incredable. Plus it looks like a tommy gun. And is set up like a carbine, so is easy to the infantryman to carry for door breaching, and still carry an M4. Depending uppon the sling used for the M4, ether of the weapons are easy to transition to as well.
