If you had 2 identically rigged 21' boats which would you get and why.

Equipment:
250hp
8" off set plate
complete set of electrionics, your choice, linked together with side and down scan
36 volt TM your choice,MK or MG
Aluminum tandum axle trailer with brakes
6 ga. wiring
etc.
everything the same, just different style boats

Bay boat, I love mine because you can fish out of it and still have plenty of room if you want to take out extra people. Plus I never get worried no matter how big the waves get.

Depends which type of fishing I want to do. Saltwater or Fresh. If its Fresh for bass....gotta be a bass boat. If it's saltwater or panfish fish......Bayboat. But be well advised. The bay style high profile boats are a Bugger to control in the wind. It takes a lot bigger trolling motor to keep that style boat in position to bass fish with. Don't make no difference in the saltwater because you are not trying to hold a position to fish a 5ft circle.

It is difficult to fish for bass from a bay boat and darn near impossible to fish the bay in a bass boat. Either one will be a compromise. I believe you have to make a decision on the type fishing you are going to do primarily and go from there.

+1 in tournments as well. of course I get some pretty ugly looks from the Skeeter, Ranger, Stratos, etc... crowd.

There's plenty of cross over cc/bass hulls, lower profile than the typical tuna schooner bay hull, but more accessable than the typical sit down to drive and room for two bass hulls...

Lake and Bay
Majek Extreme
Bass Cat's bay hull
Haynie big foot

All are perfectly well suited for troll motor down and fish or whatever you want to do. Lot's of choices.

Our 24'er hammers the bass all the time. Sticks, timber, the spawn...shallow water, rough water. One thing it can't do is get over 57mph. thumb

Fork a few weeks back:

While I love my Skeeter bass boat, I'll never go back to one, once I sell it. I cant count how many bass boats I've owned, but have always preferred a center console, so dont ask why I always bought bass boats. I guess it's because I knew I could use my brother's Kenner anytime I wanted...but now he sold it, and I miss it.

I once loaded up a 23VX Kenner with 6 people and hauled butt up and down the Red River all weekend. Cant do that in a bass boat.

That would be great to have both boats. I hope you get it figured out . You have a nice Champ but that NauticStar would be sweet also. Good Luck smile
