Well you just have to have water to fish it. Photos of today.

Went to have a look and figured this is what I would find.
No water flowing and I see now the snags I had last spring, I will say I had no idea just how much water was in this last sping you can see the water stains on the pillars.

Next time out I will go to the other end at the lake and see how far I have to walk to get to water......

Hmm what size is the tire? Not any water moving in this creek at all.

This is under the newer bridge

i almost made it near the bridge and got blocked by a sandbar. No fish but gar. a few crappie here and there but nothing worth going back for unless the water comes up.

Some gar in the pic below on side scan. white slashes are the fish.... they were all up and down the creek.

Thank you for posting the photos, Brad. At that location, close to the lake in terms of elevation, the water level is always nearly the same as the lake water elevation at the dam. All our streams are looking like your photos near the lakes. The bright side is that the low water levels give us a chance to see what's UNDER the water at normal levels. Good time to take notes.

Creeks change with every flood. Bringing in new debris and logs and trash piles. So what you see now, might change in a few days. Says were are expecting 1/2 to an inch of rain Monday night. Bring the flood!

Ah then you have to deal with the muddy water and the trash and will the fish move up in to the creek that fast? Also after all the water floods the creek I would think that allot of food for the fish would to.
Just my thinking.

Last good rain we got actually got the water in Hickory Creek moving pretty good. I'm just up the street from old alton and went to have a look. It was weird though, to see it being as low as it was still with a fairly strong current.
