Kurt Dove writes up a nice report.

http://www.swtexasbassguide.com/

Is his site with tips on there.

As far as my experience and friends; Frogs in the duckweed can be fun in the morning (some will claim all day). Texas rig worm always is good around the hydrilla. Can't go wrong with fishing main lake points. Last time I was there I had a lot of success with C-rig. I know of a few guides where that's all they do for the most part. Might be getting a little cooler down there now and the fish should start moving up to some shallow water. So coves and what not are starting to become a viable option.

There are some guys on here that live down there though that could probably tell you better than me.

We put in at Box Canyon alot and will go up the river some. Mile markers 18-25 or so. Hitting lake points along the way. I think it's around mile marker 20 or 21 or so there is a huge grass mat that stretches out across the lake. I always see people fishing it as have we. Evans creek is always good, mouth of devil's river, straight across north from blackbrush. We don't fish Mexico much but have quite a few buddies who do more down the river across from box canyon.

If there is a strong north wind might be difficult going up the river from box canyon so you may stay down further east.

You will see the grass. It's everywhere. You might not see it up top initially but once you get close to it then it's hard to miss.

Here's a link of a picture of hydrilla (that's what the grass is called that I'm talking about)
