Rules:
1. Fishing Hours: 7:00a.m. – 2:30p.m.
2. Must be in weigh in line by: 3:15p.m., if you are late you will be subject to disqualification.
3. Unlimited Rods.
4. Unlimited Anglers limited to ONE boat (must comply w/ restrictions on your vessel)
5. 5 fish will be weighed for heaviest stringer, must be catfish.
6. Big Fish Competition. $10 separate entry for Big Fish Competition. Big fish is defined as heaviest fish. If there is a tie, Big Fish will be determined by greatest length.
7. If participating in “small fish competition” you must weigh in the smallest catfish and comply w/ Texas Parks and Wildlife restrictions: 12” minimum. In case of tie, winner will be determined by shortest length of fish. Small fish pot is $5 per angler. Note: Your small fish DOES NOT accrue towards your 5 fish heavy stringer.
8. No set lines, jug lines or any other means are allowed for catching catfish during this tournament other than Rod and Reel.
9. Once tournament has started, it will end at scheduled time, regardless of weather conditions.
10. A 5lb penalty will be accessed on any dead fish weighed.
11. A captain will be identified from each team at time of registration.
12. Trailoring is allowed.
13. Early registration is at Holiday Marina from 3pm – 8pm Friday December 9th.
14. Normal registration is from 5a.m. to 7a.m. the day of the tournament December 10th at Holiday Marina. (as long as you are registered, you may launch anywhere on the lake, there is NO mandatory meeting the morning of the tournament.)
15. Guides. Guides may fish tournament if they have not operated a guided fishing trip on said body of water in the previous 5 days leading up to tournament. ( Mon-Fri)
16. Do not fish within 300ft (100yards) from any other competition boat.
17. Pre-fishing may be done any time until sunset of the prior day of tournament.
18. Payout is 100%. 1st is 60%, 2nd is 30% and 3rd is 10% of total pool.
19. All participants in tournament MUST comply with ALL rules and regulations provided by the State of Texas and Texas Parks and Wildlife.
20. Bank fishing is allowed. Up to 4 persons per bank team. Bank teams have to fish within 100 yards of each other during the duration of the tournament.
