Well, since my sister and I share a vehicle...right now, not that often.....but spent the last 2 afternoons fishing at Calaveras, and boy did I appreciate the decompression time...until I noticed the "coal powered" flume...local residents are not too happy.....will not go back to either Calaveras or Braunig again...did not know until recently, they were coal powered....rather go to coast,....such a shame and such a waste of our ecology.....gotta leave something for the next generations other than pollution and oil dependency.....

Being from the east coast originally, I am still flabbergasted that Texas, as much a it is one of the major "sunshine" states has lagged, and I do mean lagged, behind the times with solar power....God knows there's more solar here, than most of the north, and what are we, collectively, doing with it ??? NOT ENOUGH!!!! The government, and the people have got to realize, solar can and will be cheap, and a hell of a lot cleaner that oil...and yes, love to drive...so...it is a challenge to all of us

I fish for reds at the Crappie wall and between the wall and the dam.
Tight lines,

Here's the power plant at Calaveras Lake (it's not THAT dirty). Also, it's loaded with 2 and 3 lbs channel catfish. We like to eat them, so my wife catches them now. And, I plan to go after more of these double-digit redfish:
