Aside from joining lines/leaders, I am now using a palomar knot all of the time. I started about two months ago, and I haven't looked back. I used to use a uni-knot for pretty much everything, and I still use a double uni-knot for joining line. My only complaint about the palomar is that, without a tool, it's harder to seperate from split rings/hooks when changing baits.
