If you don't mind me asking, Jonathan, from a fishing standpoint, why are you selling this outfit? I have a friend who has a Lamson and has taken it to the salt for Reds, and I have casted it a few times. I like the feel of his Lamson Konic. Never casted a Clouser. Can you compare it with an 8# TiCrX and BVK?
Thanks!

I'll take a belated shot at answering your question... not very good at describing fly rod actions but would say that the Clouser loads much deeper into the blank than the TiCrX and BVK but still has a fairly fast tip. (If that makes any sense at all )

Thanks! I have a 7wt Clouser and have cast the 7, 8, and 9wt BVKs. The action is very similar on both. The Clouser will "load and shoot" (George is gonna love me) large streamers much better and has a lot more backbone for landing larger fish. You never, never, never want to even think about highsticking with a BVK. They are not designed for any lifting. I test drove the 6, 7, and 8wt Clouser before settling on the 7wt.

I can vouch for that. I broke my brand new 8wt BVK last June trying to horse a red out that swam under the boat in about a foot of water. Thankfully the BVK had the lifetime warranty and it's already been replaced. I just need to get home from Afghanistan so I can use it again! LOL

LOL Thanks for the BVK report, but most important, MANY thanks for your service to our country.
