Has anyone purchased this reel? Reviews please? I have a couple of spinning outfits, and when I'm not getting wind loops and knots, I love using spinning gear for shakey head and drop shotting, but with the wind this year, I'm tired of getting tangles.

I was given a demo of one at Icast. A few loops were intentionally placed in the reel and it seemed to do fine. But, I doubt it would cure line twist loops. Nevertheless, the reel felt smooth and functioned nicely.

IMO its a great reel for the price. I borrowed one from a friend and didnt experience any "loops" the 2 days I fished with it. Smooth casting and a good drag system... what more does a fella need in a spinning reel?
I own 2 of the $99.00 silver ones and as a regular user of spinning gear, I must say I love mine. They don't cause loops like other spinning reels, they are smooth and have a good drag system. I've had mine for about 6 months and haven't had a single bad issue with them. It is the only type spinning reel I'll ever buy again.

this ^^ We had several in a third world sandy and dusty environment that never failed, never needed cleaning, and kept delivering under the harshest of conditions.
If I had to make a purchase, this would be a great investment

Check out the DHxL it is a sweet little spinning reel. Took it to Colorado trout fishing in the streams with just a split shot and salmon egg hook. Slayed some nice trout and the reel handled 4 lb. Trilene XL without any issue the entire two weeks we were there. It also is a good crappie reel!

I have two of them, the first one I got had the round handle on it, took some time to get use to that, and the other is the newer version, havent had any problem with either
I had one of the round handle ones and took it to Bridgeport to use as a shakey head reel. It locked up the first time out and would not work again. Until it broke I could not see any advantage to the design it still twisted the line and the handle was uncomfortable to use. I took it back got a refund and bought a Shimano. Piece of junk!
Above is a link for a video review posted in the kayak section. Shaun dropped his Wave Spin reel and rod in Lake Ray Roberts on accident a few months ago. He went back to the lake where he dropped his combo and dragged an anchor on the lake bottom. On his first pass he snagged his combo, brought it up to the surface, and began fishing with it...after being in the lake for a month or two the reel performed like it was brand new!
