Good fish, looks fat and healthy. I feel the same way Jigit. You sure can catch them when you spend the time looking for them. Rudy and i use to whack them with spinner baits back in the day. Those days ended years ago.

You Ray Bob haters just keep hating. Its nice not having 1000 yahoos with no boat etiguette all over the lake. It was until someone got on here and tells them the technique.
And I know who "Jeff" is.

I've been out on this lake (mainly bank fishing and my canoe) quite a few times since I moved here in Feb. I have yet to catch anything.

I find that hard to believe. 8 months and no bass? Not even a popcorn? Sounds like a paid guide trip with some instructions could be worth its weight in gold for you.
"Whats the definition of insanity? Repeating the same action over and over and expecting different results."

Got out today for about 3 hours. Boated 10, but again all small. Had one that probably came close to 3. Also caught a couple of "stockers" Aggresive little suckers hardly bigger than my bait. Ray Bob is my home lake and I will keep going out there and trying different things until I figure it out.
I am happy to have a lake that is not as pressured or crowded. Only about 8 trailers total at Buck this morning.
PM me to let me know how it was!

Heading out in the morning. Really looking forward to it. I haven't been on Roberts in more than a month. Last 2 trips have been to Fork and the last one was tough "during Berkly tourney".

The keeper size fish seem to be doing better my last three trips to Roberts. Still tons of 13" to just under fish. One thing I see happening before to long is a new spotted bass record I have caught one or two right at 3 pounds in each of the my last 3 trips. This is my first year to really fish Ray Roberts. I have learned a lot of stuff mostly where not to be and found some spots that are so good the bass don't even no where they are! There is just so much to look at on that Lake and it all looks good. As far as catching Bass Roberts looks to be ok with so many small fish hopefully in another year or two these little fish will be 3 pounders and if the State will continue to add the fry to the mix Roberts should be pretty good. One thing I have noticed this year is there is a ton of shad in the lake. All the grass that is growing around the lake right now should help if it does not die when the lake comes back up.
