Looking to troll for some reds and hybrids this weekend any insight on where the fish have been would be Great. I trolled for a few hour last weekend using hell-pets and did pretty good. About what speed have yall been trolling at I was doing about 1-1.5 mph last weekend is that to slow? And are there any bait better that hell-pets? Any and all info would be helpfull.

this N wind will probably have them in a different pattern... if it's good S wind go to the dam... i troll at 4+mph then when i see a school kick it down to about 3.5mph... if the hell pets worked for you then keep using them.. they been hitting great on silver spoons last couple weeks.

Well they were biting good on yeh mon craw fish too . Spoons should be pretty good too . This change on weather will make them go hide for sure but they were good around dam area and should be out there for awhile .

Whenever you come around school they will bite just anything.

Just a heads up, there will be a catfish tournament on Cally this Saturday so it may be a little more crowded than usual.

Not sure how you understand it ! but couples of things i have learned from that lake is you can't find them at one place anymore . If you are trolling or taking kayak you will have to keep on moving and find them .

Use samething that has been working for one cause if you find school they will bite anything . They move pretty fast and most of the schools are running around Dam lately.

jsb91010n freely gives lots of great advice and tips (advice that will work if you apply it too) on this and other forums, and I have never noted a sarcastic or rude tone. I am sure his post here is being misintrepreted.

I guess that I'm just not very bright. A guy advises that WahooBob go to the dam, troll spoons, and look for schools of fish and he's accused of being sarcastic and (I guess) of being an illegal alien. How'd he get all of that out of some pretty good advice on how to catch fish? Some people.

Don't worry Bernard, Redshad1 is a troll. In another post about Braunig and Calveras lakes he calls them toilet bowls.....
