Karl your a bit out of the loop no biggie, I had a conversation with john monday over the phone and he said he would try to have a map up Tuesday and that he has gotten several calls from people asking for the same thing John at LFSA? This tourney is being managed by Wild Carp Companies and promoted by USCARPPRO in conjunction with LFSA. We've all worked hard at identifying suitable pegs and we have received confirmation that we will have access to SRA land, not including the dam, for the tourney. Pegging, as Karl correctly stated, is being determined based upon the access granted to us from all over the lake, including this land, and the fishability of each location. Thus, no one will be forced to fish unfishable pegs whether that's due to bank conditions or standing timber. At this time, we have more than enough good peg locations for all expected entrants to fish competitively and without location-specific hindrances. Areas that may be pegged have been identified but I suggest that anyone with concerns over specific peg locations contact Sean or Jason at WildCarpCompanies before paying to enter the competition. I'm sure Sean and Jason will do whatever is necessary to ensure that all entrants will be given suitable and competitive pegs.

As for the LFSA and the 7 miles of bank space... WCC, USCP and the LFSA has worked with the SRA and with LFSA members and Lake Fork residents and businesses to ensure we have more than enough peggable and competitive bank space for the tournament. Is is 7 miles? We didn't measure it to the inch. If it's only 6 miles, would that be enough for up to 30 or 40 teams?

My original concern was the 7 miles of bank access you had gotten from LFSA that I assumed was SRA land. You know what they say about assuming Zach Looking forward to seeing you there, it has been too long

dude I assumed right, Jason of the WCC told me you guys are looking into RV parks and some bridges now you have to play it by ear as the water level is so low and subject to change also a couple of the members of the LFSA had volunteered land Jason told me he would get a map up of the general areas that where going to be pegged he also told me I wasn't the only one that had called and asked about it. I was just asking Jason if he had a chance to do that as he said he was going to post it here on the TFF and on the WCC website..
You have a ton of carp anglers close to that lake we all know there are big fish there but the reason many of us don't fish it is because lake of bank access. So yes many of us are interested in the locations of the pegs.
Zach Whatever mate You were the one originally moaning about unfair advantages, now you want to have the peg locations, so you can gain an unfair advantage over the guys who don't know the venue. I am however very pleased that you have everyone else's interest at heart, and have been persistent in your questions. (And edits!) All these guys you mention asking, and you being their spokesman is very kind of you. I said it earlier in the thread mate.............You've got nice bait, but no real takers. You registered for the event yet????

Sorry for not responding sooner, but I am generally not much of a forum poster. This is Tournament Director Jason Bernhardt from WCC.
Everyone please refer to our website as Rich pointed out. There is a map up with tentative peg sections posted. We have stated that peg locations may be subject to change due to water level fluctuations, as we visited the lake for pegging purposes at the end of a very long TX drought.
We are partnering with USCARPPRO magazine and Lake Fork Sportsman's Association on this event, and LFSA is our eyes and ears in Lake Fork for monitoring the water levels and peg locations.
LFSA informed us this week that we have the Sabine River Authority's cooperation for this event to take place, which is positive since it may open up additional land for back up and/or expansion.
No matter what the final outcome of the eventual peg locations, there will be ample bank space for our competitors.

Update, Jason J and I will be looking at some previously un fished SRA controlled bank space this weekend.
These pegs will be in addition to the currently listed ones and will be on deep water.

Great news for bivvy users at the WCC event at Fork Lake Wild Carp Companies BREAKING NEWS
Thanks to the efforts of Lake Fork Sportsman's Association President Arlan Yaeger and company, the Sabine River Authority has agreed to temporarily waive the no camping rule for all competitors during the Lake Fork Carp & Buffalo Challenge!
The use of brolleys, bivvies and small tents will be permitted throughout the duration of the 44-hr event, not just during nighttime. Please try to avoid using large (10' x 10' or larger) pop-up tents if possible. No excuse for the whiny wimps who have said they will not fish it because they want to have the bivvies up all the time and couldn't take them down during the day. Ooooh Ooooh! We are not fishing it because you have to take your bivvy down during the day. Come on Zach......After all your questions and pi$$ing initially, and the moaning that your questions were not being addressed..........Time to chit or get off the pot!!!! Don't be scared homie (© Nick Diaz)
