Anyone here taken their F-150 in for this wiring harness recall? If so, how long did it take? The letter's they've sent me say 4 hours.

The thing's never blown up in my face yet, but I don't want Ford off the hook if it ever was to happen. But 4 hours? Sitting in that nasty waiting area?! lol

I would ask for a loaner. I know they normally specify overnight but 4 hours is too long.

Just bought an 06 a month ago still haven't called the dealership to find out the recall history and if they've been performed yet on it. Usually I plan to have some other maintenance type item done when one of mine are in. I have the luxury of a 3rd vehilcle something I was spoiled to back when I had a company vehicle. It would be best to prolly plan on being out of it for the day as you don't know how many may be in line ahead of you. I guarrantee they are calling everyone up one at a time.

That recall doesnt take much time really if they can jump on it while you wait.

it takes probably 30 mins max but will mainly depend on how busy the techs are currently when you take it in. Schedule an appointment and you should get in and out of there in no time.

Took mine in not too long ago. It took them about an hour, maybe a little less.

what year models is this recall for?

I think it was from 04-06 or 04-08. Don't remember exact years. Mine is an 04.

We average around 15 minutes per vehicle at our dealership.

Took mine in a few months back and took maybe hour and a half. Just depends on how busy the techs are. The 4 hour notice is probably more for their sake in case they get behind, etc.

Did yall get something in the mail??? I didnt remember seeing anything in the mail about a recall. I have a 06 F150. Guess i need to call the dealer.

Actually I PM'ed Tiltman and gave him the vin# for my 06 and he ran the Oasis Report and it wasn't listed for it.

I got the notice in the mail but haven't taken my 05 in yet to get it done.
