Yes. I'm still trying to contact previous owner. Have sent letter to try and get title signed over. I bought boat from guy who found it washed ashore. He couldn't find owner, but I got name and address from Parks.

If he responds to my letter, I would like to make a deal with him if he wants boat back. If he doesn't respond, it will just have to be used as a pond boat.

Sounds fair to me. Good luck on the sale. I have a small Pelican boat like this and it works great for springtime crappie fishing. I use it as much as my big boat. You can also use it on White Rock Creek or Rowlett Creek during the winter crappie run.

Had a similar boat for years. Contacted TPWD and they said I could register it if I had it 4 or more years without needing the prior owner information. Just fill out the proper form where you attest that you've had it on private property. Form PWD 314 - Affadavid of Fact.http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdforms/media/pwd_314_a0900_affidavit_of_fact.pdf
If you have had it for 4 years or more, you sign the form. If you just bought it from someone who has had it for 4 years, have the prior owner sign the form. You will also need the other standard title/registration forms: PWD 143 and PWD 504. If you have questions, call your local TPWD # and they will help you get it registered & titled.
